Where The Trees Sing / Donde Los Árboles Cantan – Book Review

Hello!

I had this book on my bookshelf for years until I decided to give it a chance… thank god I gave I gave it one!

This book was written by Laura Gallego. It’s based in a medieval era where the daughter of a lord goes through being a “slave” to making herself strong in a beautiful journey.

Viana de Rocagrís is a perfect maiden with a perfect life. She is in love with Robian de Castelmar, a young and dashing duke, and both will marry next spring. But when the barbarians invade the kingdom of Nortia, Viana’s life will never be the same. She has no chance but running away, and maybe pay attention to the legends about the Great Forest – the place where the trees can sing.

If I had to describe this book in one word it would be: beautiful.

  • A beautiful storyline about the evolution of an innocent girl growing into a strong woman.
  • Beautiful characters that you end up loving and caring for.
  • Beautiful writing that makes you feel like you’re inside the book.

I did thought it was a bit weird/unrealistic way too fantasy-like for me at the middle of reading it but then that weird vibe turned to be really interesting and I couldn’t put it down. (I loved the cliff-hangers of this book)

Price: you can buy it for 23.88€ on Amazon.

Would I recommend this book? Absolutely! Definitely a book that you have to be concentrated because it’s actually quite long (even if it doesn’t feel like it when you read it).

Have a nice Tuesday. I will come back with another post on Friday!
