Hello!
Ever dreamt of sitting at the stairs where Blair Waldorf instituted her leadership? Or have a croissant while wearing a little black dress and staring at Tiffany’s showcase like you are in Breakfast at Tiffany’s? Well, if you happen to be in New York City you can visit all these cool locations:
1.Ghostbusters: Hook and Ladder 8 (FDNY)
Mythical. I don’t even need to explain this one. Find it at 14 N Moore Street (in between Tribeca and Soho) Eyes on the ground for a surprise!
2.Manhattan: Queensboro Bridge
This is the bridge where Woody Allen and Diane Keaton watch the sunset. It connects Manhattan and Queens.
These are the stairs where Queen B sits. It also appears in the main heist sequence of Ocean’s 8 and a lot of other movies. 1000 5th Avenue (look for the Metropolitan Museum of Art)
4.The Avengers: Grand Central Terminal (outside)
This is one of the most popular landmarks for tv shows and movies. You can spot it in the battle scene of The Avengers, the opening scene of Gossip Girl and it was used as inspiration for Madagascar. You can get the best view at Park Ave Viaduct. It’s ten minutes away from Rockefeller Central.
Although all the interior scenes were shot in L.A., the iconic apartment facade is in 90 Bedford Street and was built in 1999. It’s in West Village.
6.Breakfast at Tiffany’s: Tiffany’s & CO
Another legendary shot. Now you can have breakfast at their very own Blue Box Café. Find the store at 5th Avenue and 57th Street.
7.Gossip Girl and The Avengers: Bethesda Terrance
There’s a “room” under the bridge full of arches and an amazing architecture where Chuck and Blair have their wedding while running away from the police.
In the actual bridge (above) is where the Avengers say their goodbyes to Thor and Loki who are going to Asgard with the Tesseract.
The Bethesda Terrance is located in 72 Terrance Dr. in Central Park.
8.The Devil Wears Prada: Miranda’s office and Elias-Clark HQ
Since it’s one of my favourite movies it could not be left out of this list. This is the McGraw-Hill Building and it’s on 6th Avenue. The movie used the exteriors and the lobby. The most important thing is that this is where Miranda Priesly makes her epic entrance. It’s literally 1 minute away from The New York Times Building.
I’m manifesting this list so one day I can go there myself.
Have a nice Sunday. I will come back with another post on Monday.
